Hosting Control Panel Restoring SQL Server Databases

This article shows you how to Restore SQL Server Databases in the Hosting Control Panel.

1. To restore your SQL Server database, you will need a full backup in one of two formats: the standard SQL Server .bak file format or the Azure .bacpac format. A .bak file is a typical backup file provided by your hosting provider, while a .bacpac file is used with Azure. If you are creating the database using SQL Server Management Studio, make sure to create the backup in either the .bak or .bacpac format.
