Web Wiz takes the privacy of its customers data very seriously. Please read the following policy to understand how we will treat your personal data after it has been collected by us through your use of this website.
- When do we collect data?
We can collect data on you from a variety of different sources these include.
- When you purchase products or services from the site or via any of our other distribution channels.
- When you become a subscriber.
- When you enter data into a form on the website.
- When you speak to our customer services personnel.
- When you activate your product via our License Activation Server.
- Via explicit data capture measures, for example by entering competitions, completing surveys, registering products, registering to use the support forum.
- Via implicit data capture measures such as studying which pages you read the most and the use of cookies.

- What do we do with your personal information?
When you buy anything via the site or give us any personal data as indicated above, we may need to collect information about you to process the transaction, fulfil your order and provide you with the services you expect then and in the future. 'Web Wiz' retains and uses your personal information to provide you with the remote commerce (including electronic and mobile commerce) experience by providing you with a personalised service and to give you details of offers which we think will be of interest to you and keep you informed of changes to products, services, licenses agreements, terms, conditions, and security updates. We may also use the information to process any transactions you undertake with us and for internal administration and analysis.
Where we provide email hosting, we filter inbound email for spam and malicious content. When a message is marked as spam or as not-spam (by you or by a mail rule on your account), that message is used to train and improve the accuracy of our spam filtering. This training is carried out on our own systems, other than the limited AI-assisted checking described in section 4.5.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties
- Who do we share your personal information with?
To provide you with our services, 'Web Wiz' may need to share your personal data with some third parties.
4.1. When you make a purchase from 'Web Wiz' the details you enter for your Credit/Debit Card are shared with our payment services providers, Elavon Financial Services DAC. (UK) and Barclays Bank PLC. (UK).
4.2. When you register a domain name through 'Web Wiz' the personal details that you provide on the Domain Registration Form are shared with the Parent Registry. The Parent Registry used will depend on the Domain Extension for the Domain Name that your register. The Parent Registries that we partner with are, Nominet UK (UK), CentralNic Ltd. (UK) and NetOne Earth Inc. (US). If you need to know more information on what details are shared and who with, please contact us for details.
4.3. 'Web Wiz' uses Brevo (France) when sending Transactional and Notification Emails from our services. The contents and who the Emails are sent to is shared with Brevo (France) when they relay the emails to our customers.
4.4. With some services, you'll get a dedicated hosting control panel that uses MSP Control. To register your MSP Control license, your personal details will be shared with VirtuWorks Inc. (US).
4.5. 'Web Wiz' uses AI tools from Anthropic PBC (US) and X.AI LLC (US) and Grammarly Inc. (US) in the following ways:
- To help write replies to support tickets, and to help analyse technical information such as log files and error messages. Where used for this, the relevant ticket or technical content is shared with the provider. Every support ticket reply is still written and checked by a member of the Web Wiz support team before it is sent. You are not talking to a chatbot when you raise a support ticket.
- To answer questions directly through the search assistant in the Client Area and on the Web Wiz website. If you choose to use this, your search query, and where relevant your own past support tickets and our knowledgebase content, are shared with the provider to generate an answer. These answers are generated automatically and are not checked by a person before you see them, so please check any linked article or ticket, and raise a support ticket if you need a definite answer.
- To help decide whether a message marked as spam or not-spam has been correctly classified, as part of training our spam filtering. Where used for this, limited details of the message (such as its headers, subject, sender authentication results and a short sample of the text, but not the full message) are shared with the provider.
- Public Information; Forum
By it's very nature the Forum is open to the public, any information given will be viewable to the general public. 'Web Wiz' does make every effort to keep details such as email addresses private, but if you do select to have your email address shown it will be viewable by the general public.
- Age Restriction
'Web Wiz' provides business services and is intended for use by persons aged 18 or over. This includes our support forums. Our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use this website or register for any of our services or forums.
If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal data, please contact us using the contact us form and we will delete it.
- Cookies
